The franchise world boomed in Panama in the years 1990 with well-known brands such as McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Hut, and KFC, which have existed in the country for decades. The model was replicated and has evolved with the establishment of franchises with Panamanian flavor managed by local consortium where they also face the challenge of technology.
Henri Odink, senior manager of KPMG, says that over time the franchise model in Panama matured, and over the years new branches of the business were introduced.
Panama is one of the markets with the largest presence of international franchise brands and where innovative local proposals have emerged, where the key to success and stability is the constant reinvention, the innovation in products, the variety and adaptability to the demands of customers and consumers and the maintenance of the highest quality standards.
