The number of passengers arriving at the Tocumen International Airport of the Republic of Panama continues to rise and it improve in relation to the past month. The restart of operations and passengers arriving at the country, or simply doing a transit, is related to the advancement of the vaccine campaigns in the most important cities around the world that connect with Panama.
According to the statements by the General Manager of Tocumen International Airport, Raffoul Arab, “the reactivation of the airlines, the increase of weekly frequencies and destinies in the past few weeks are injecting optimism throughout the industry. However, we must focus on the sistematic and balanced recovery from the operations and financial point of view.”
Among the airlines that have increased their frequencies we can name:
- Iberia, with 6 weekly flights between Panama and Madrid
- Turkish Airlines with 5 weekly flights between Panama and Istanbul
- Air Europa with 2 weekly flights from Panama
- Copa Airlines has flights to 58 different destinations
The manager, Mr. Arab, states that “98% of trade concessions have been reactivated, which is an important indications of the confidence the dealerships have.” In general terms, the Tocumen International Airpor is the direct conecction to 65 cities in 31 countries between Europe and America, through the service provided by 19 airline companies.
